Millal kasutada Capsanemi?

Capsanemi kasutatakse öölaste, leediklaste ja sääriksääsklaste sugukonda kuuluvate vastsete ning männikärsaka (Hylobius abietis) ja Capnodis tenebrionis’e vastsete bioloogiliseks tõrjeks. Samuti kasutatakse seda paljude teiste mardikaliste ja sihktiivaliste (nt kaerasorilased) vastsete tõrjeks.

Kuidas Capsanem toimib?

Pärast annustamist otsivad nematoodid aktiivselt saakorganisme ja tungivad nende kestast läbi. Nematoodid toituvad saakorganismi sisemusest, eritades selleks oma seedekulglast teatavaid baktereid. Need bakterid muudavad peremeesorganismi koe aineteks, mida nematoodid kergesti seedida saavad. Vastsed surevad paari päevaga.
